Lightning Learning

What is ‘Lightning Learning’?

One of the KGH Clinical Librarians attends (when invited!) your ward round or team meeting.  Any questions/queries that come up during discussions about the clinical care of a patient, that require research to ensure current best practice and new evidence are available, are noted and then taken back and fully researched.  The Clinical Librarian will then get back with any evidence they have sourced.

Each question/query will have been dealt with separately and a ‘Lightning Learning’ information sheet  (adapted from the East Midlands Emergency Medicine Educational Media #EM3)  completed detailing the evidence and any references that are appropriate.

A few of the ‘Lightning Learning’ queries that have been answered recently are: –
