Request Articles, Books or an Evidence Search

KGH Library Service provides a request service for journal articles, books and literature searches. You can use the forms below to request a book, journal article, or literature search.

Make A Request

  • We aim to process all requests by the next working day.
  • We aim to supply article requests within 3 working days*.
  • We aim to supply book requests within eight working days*.

Some items are requested from other libraries and so may take longer to supply

These are FREE unless:

    • we need to request from a library that charges us for the supply.  We will contact you to let you know there will be charge and how you can pay, before purchasing the item .
    • you require the item for commercial (private work) or personal reasons (i.e. course).
Books available in our libraries can be reserved on the KGH Library Catalogue even if they are available on the shelf, or you can contact us to reserve items. For books not held locally, use the button below to make a request.
Request a Book or Chapter
Before you use this service, please check to see whether the article is available to you in full-text, by using the Journals tab on Resource Finder.
Request a Journal Article
We can carry out searches on your behalf to identify journal articles, guidelines, systematic reviews and other material to help meet your requirements.   You’ll need to become a library member before you can use this form.   If your search is for coursework, we’ll ask you to do the search yourself but we are happy to offer training on how to search.
